CAMPING:

As there will be thousands people camping and partying out in nature, we all have to follow a few basic rules, to keep this beautiful location in its shape. Please always remember to treat this unique piece of earth with respect! Just as each of us is responsible for bringing what we need for this out doors festival, each of us is responsible for carrying it away again. Consider as your own sacred pledge to the Mother, and leave no trace of your stay. Your camp should be left in tact the way you found it, that means everything disappears completely before you go. Beyond that, take responsibility for the cleanliness of the camp as a whole: pick up any litter in your path.

  1. Meet and greet your neighbors. Daytime lounging at your sites will only be heightened when you enjoy the company of your fellow adventurer’s.
  2. Campfires are prohibited by the local authority so we provide some community fires.
  3. If you are a smoker, extinguish your cigarette butt completely and do not drop it on the ground. Bring a cigarette container or film tube or ask at the gate or info point for one.
  4. Leave your camping site as clean as when you moved in. Utilize the garbage, composting and recycling facilities provided. Most of the garbage generated by the festival is from camp-sites. Please Leave no Trace!!!
  5. Prepare for all types of weather. The days are hot but the nights are very cool and damp. Anything left outside overnight will be wet. Extra socks are a must.
  6. Protect your valuables. Leave them at home or lock them in your vehicle
  7. Take care of yourself and you will be a better friend. When you are suffering from the heat, exhaustion, sleep deprivation or lack of nutrition, you can make for a grumpy partier. So take a nap, drink some water, eat a snack and take care of your well being as well as that of your friends.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

  • No fireworks, glass or excessive alcohol
  • Fireworks and explosives of any kind.
  • No Pets – including and especially dogs
  • No Generators or Sound Systems without prior permission
  • No weapons of any kind may be brought into the event.
  • Bad or disrespectful attitudes.

Please remember to leave all those unnecessary, precious items at home, which you anyway won’t need at the Gathering.

Come with less luggage to keep you free for the essentials: the gathering, the dance, the fun, the music. The less you bring, the less you have to look after.

Consider as your own sacred pledge to the Mother, and leave no trace of your stay. We will all be using community porto potties and compost pit shitters, make sure you don’t put anything but human waste into them because we will all suffer.

If you want to party freely you have a safe place to leave him. Ask the Info Point!

RUBBISH / ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:

With things like pollution coming into question, people around the world are undoubtedly more worried about the future of the world. Everyone is talking about all the mess, but few are acting in order to love and respect Mother Nature.

One simple way is to keep clean and tidy your surroundings. This is something that everyone can do and also recycling is for free. So… GOOD news!

We will provide garbage bags for everyone that enters the festival. A wise and easy decision is to make sure that during the festival you keep an eye on your left-overs so you don’t have to work twice cleaning around.

There will be an small deposit (around 5 euros) for one plastic bag (which will be provided to you at the entry-gate). The deposit will be returned when the bag is brought back, filled with waste.

Please…

  1. Crush all cans and plastic bottles before binning them to reduce the bulk of litter.
  2. This year we have recycling bins for plastic bottles and cans, please follow instructions and use them.
  3. Use rubbish bins and bags provided for all waste.
  4. Keep your camp clean, a clean camp is a safe camp.
  5. If you need extra bags for rubbish you can ask for them at the info tent.
  6. Try to leave the area you use in the same or better condition than you found it.
  7. Take your rubbish home for recycling where appropriate.
  8. Think about what you are bringing on site – minimize your waste products.
  9. Respect the environment, help preserve the trees & nature for all to enjoy.

WRIST STRAPS – VERY IMPORTANT!!

These are a security feature needed to help us manage this event. It is a condition of entry that they be worn by everyone for the duration of the event. They will be fitted to each person as they enter through the Gate. Please co-operate and do not tamper with or remove them till it’s all over!! Anyone not wearing or claiming to have lost their wrist strap will be escorted off the property and runs the risk of having to pay for the ticket again as well as an administrative fee.. See staff at the info tent if you have a badly fitting strap and they will replace it.
