Please be aware that coming from Sibiu most GPS will lead you along the shorter way, which is more a difficult dirt road. So please have a look at the directions below!

If you are coming from Sibiu, you can choose from 4 ways to get there by car.

1. 111km go to the direction Sebes. In Cristian you turn left to Săliste and then you take the road toJina/Sugag. Before the village of Sugag you take the road to OASA & Obarsia Lotrului. Before getting there you turn left on Valea Frumoasei (Bigs Sign). From there, you follow the dirt road for 15 km till you reach the Gate!
2. 150km got to Sebes and take road to Sugag and follow the road  to LAKE  (Lac) OASA and continue after the Waterdamm direction Obarsia Lotrului till you get to see the big sign of Cabana Valea Frumoasei on hte left side and take the left road (main) there to follow it for 15 km till you get to the TC Gate. from Sugag you have 45 km till the turn-off into the Valley!
3. 60 km go to Paltinis and you have 30km good road and view but you have to drive up the mountains and continue on dirt road for 15 km down the Mountain.. this road you need to be very very careful and drive really slow and with patience if you want to arrive with your car in good shape! avoid high rocks and consider not driving here by night! arrived on the bottom of the mountains there is a T section where you take it to the right for another 15 km dirtroad.. this one is better and wider but partially also muddy and needs also special care and daytime driving.. its a very beautiful drive if you drive safe
4. 60 km go to Riul Sadului and follow the valley till the Location its the easiest maybe to remember but you have to cross here 45 km of dirt road in total which can be quite annoying if you are in a hurry.. so please take it easy here and drive only in daytime and with allot of patience to assure yourself not to break down with your car in a remote area with no mobile phone coverage!

please keep in mind:

• that mobile phones don’t work up there!
• closest Gas stations and shops are in Sibiu or Sugag!!!
• drive slow and and with eyes wide open.
